Individual Acupuncture Treatment
One-on-one acupuncture treatments are by appointment only and occur in a serene, private treatment room setting. The treatment is performed by a licensed acupuncturist with single use, stainless steel disposable needles.
Initial Visit: 90 mins
The initial acupuncture session consists of a discussion of symptoms, a review of major body systems, a brief family and medical history and acupuncture treatment. Treatment is approximately 30 minutes so please wear (or perhaps bring) loose and comfortable clothing that allows for moderate access to the arms, legs, waist and back. The treatment session spans approximately 80-90 minutes and will conclude with a recommended course of action. An acupuncture visit may also include other therapies like moxa, cupping and gua sha (as needed.)
Follow-up Visit: 60 mins
The follow-up session includes an abbreviated intake and approximately 30 minutes with pins. The treatment session spans approximately 50-60 minutes and is part of a series of treatments designed to further the treatment goals. Acute conditions tend to respond to acupuncture treatment more readily than chronic conditions. Treatment consistency is akin to building a snowman, where there is value to building a healthy momentum
Your expected service fees for acupuncture can range depending on your level of health care insurance coverage. Payment methods include: cash, credit/debit card, Health Savings Account (HSA) debit card and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) debit cards.
Payment due will be collected at the time of service. Both “time-of-service” and insured patients are welcome.
Basic Fee Structure
If you do not participate in a health insurance option or if acupuncture is not included as a benefit, you can expect the following service fees:
Initial Visit/Treatment: $140
Follow-up Visit/Treatment: $80
Package options may be available for the follow-up visits. Possibilities can be discussed upon completion of your initial visit. Visit the Client Portal to request an appointment.
What about health insurance?
Acupuncture services are eligible for reimbursement under many health insurance plans and you may have benefits that reduce your expenses. Each plan is different so you may want to contact your insurance provider and ask:
- Is acupuncture included in my insurance coverage?
- For what conditions is it covered?
- Are there any exceptions?
Be sure to request a reference number from the member service agent to document the insurance details they provide.
If Acupuncture is included …
Provide the following insurance information when scheduling using the Client Portal:
- Patient’s full name and Date of Birth (mm-dd-yyyy)
- The full name and DOB of the primary policy holder (if not the patient)
- Photos of the front and back of the insurance card sent by your provider
This process may also identify a deductible and/or if there are any appointment limits within the coverage cycle.

A monthly statement called a “Superbill” can be provided for you to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. Use the member phone number on the back of your insurance card to explore with your insurance provider their specific out-of-network provider terms for acupuncture. Your Superbills are accessible anytime through the Client Portal.
